Campus gates are closed nightly from 11:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m.

During the Fall 2024 semester, students and visitors may park in any available student parking space.  Restrictions include, but are not limited to, parking in a fire lane, staff parking, disabled placard misuse, and timed spaces. These areas will still be enforced and cited accordingly.

We strive to build relationships within our diverse and vibrant community to meet the challenges of reducing crime, help everyone feel safe and uphold the highest ethical standards possible. We are accountable to ourselves and the public for the quality of our service and will conduct ourselves with uncompromised honesty, integrity and honor. Our Department is comprised of three sectors: Law Enforcement through the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, Campus and Parking Services and Emergency Preparedness. San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

A Daily Crime Log (also known as a Media Bulletin) is available for public inspection at the Public Safety offices on each campus, hard copies are available free of charge when requested. The Daily Crime Log will include the most recent information from the past 60-day period. Any portion of the log that is older than 60 days is available within two business days of a request for public inspection.

A weekly, electronic version of the log may be found here. It is posted on each Friday for convenience purposes only and the most up to date version is available at the Public Safety Offices of each campus.

Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act

The Annual Security Report is available, as required by the Jeanne Clery Act.

The Clery Act requires higher education institutions to give timely warnings of crimes that represent a threat to the safety of students or employees, and to make public their campus policies. It also requires that crime data is collected, reported and disseminated to the campus community. 

Hard copies of the Clery Act are available free of charge at the Public Safety offices located at Grossmont College Campus Building 57 and Cuyamaca College Campus Building A-100. The Clery Act Report is available for viewing to all regular or prospective students, visitors and employees.

Hours of Operation for each office:  8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday

Emergency calls should be directed to 911 at all times

 

Campus and Parking Services Team (CAPS)

CAPS Specialists are non-sworn GCCCD personnel that primarily serve in a community service role.

The CAPS Team provides:

  • safety escorts
  • vehicle battery jumps and unlocks
  • lost and found
  • parking enforcement
ARJIS ARJIS provides further information about regional crime trends.
Megan's Law Megan's Law provides information about sex offenders.
